Time Travelling Cartoon Session: 1

Thursday, 30 October 2014

Session Review

Following from last week’s setting, I have taken a detailed look at the assignment brief and my initial thoughts were right since I do indeed have to design a new the concept for the time traveller Brainiac Jack.  I have simplified the brief down to these key bullet points.
In addition I have begun to use what I learned about developing a character from basic lines and shapes during my character and characterisation class and apply this development techniques for my own character and draw a series of shapes for my character.

Target Audience

The target audience is seven to eleven-year-old children. So this television show will be your standard Saturday morning cartoon, however, is historical educational.

Innocent Smoothie Vira Video Production Final Session

Session Review

The presentation for the innocent smoothie campaign video was a little unnerving; however, it went fairly well and the class loved the video; Both Rob and the rest of the class had pointed out some key errors in my presentation. Errors such as common spelling mistakes which I feel were overlooked because of anxiousness of whether the classroom and Rob would find our concept appealing.

Once Tom and I had gotten our presentation out of the way, Rob had proceeded to continue detailing and exploring the creative design process which was indeed helpful most of the topics he discussed I was familiar with from both college and my character and characterization module.

Furthermore, the next assignment I have been commissioned I will find very intriguing since I will enjoy design a set of character sand a story line since I have experience with this type of development and it is going to be allot of fun so long as I get other module tasks out of the way.

Innocent Smoothie Vira Video Production Session 6

The groups bizarre storyboard
Sunday 26th October 2014

Session Review

For today's session, I have begun by creating our group's viral concept presentation. Later during the day, I had met with Tom and together we proceeded to finish the film’s final scene, the final scene consisted of having a lemon that represented Lady Gaga sing on a small cardboard stage; Surprisingly the scene was hilariously better than Tom and I had expected and went tremendously well.

Therefore, next week Monday after my academic writing lesson at 13:00 Tom and I will meet up in the digital arts centre to scan the storyboard and place it inside our innocent smoothie presentation.

Innocent Smoothie Viral Video Production Session 5

Saturday 25th October 2014

Session Review

The film shoot for today's session surpassed my original expectations. Starting of the session with a sluggish start I had eventually met Tom at the university campus. From there we had proceeded to hunt for a quiet location to shoot, however, most of the areas inside the Edgar building were far too bright for our scenes so I had suggested that Tom and I discover if the languages centre in the Brendan building is open. After discovering that the building was indeed open we proceeded to look for a room that had the right levels of natural light and shadows.

Thankfully a room was English classroom was open and we had begun to set up our props and equipment, which to my surprise Tom had gotten allot of materials and props such as a set of cool disco lights. Creating the funky hairstyles was fun I admit I had almost felt as if I was back at primary school.

Overall I am deeply impressed to the number of scenes we had gotten filmed and I am intrigued to what the end result will look on Monday. However, because I had to make a quick departure to get my train on time the final two scenes will be shot tomorrow perhaps today I can even gather what research I have and produce the presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Innocent Smoothie Vira Video Production Session 4

Friday 24th October 2014

Session Review

After being informed by my team member Tom yesterday that he would be shortly arriving from his home to the campus to start filming of the advertisement at five o'clock; however, the time of five o'clock is troubling since I must frequently board a train at 17:56 or 18:24.So after informing Tom of this dilemma, we have agreed to begin shooting tomorrow instead.

Therefore, I will gather what research I have and create a PowerPoint presentation, then attempt to get in contact with my tutor Rob Tovey and discover whether we should either put our secondary research on innocent smoothie on our blogs or combine that research into a presentation?
