Thirty Second Mars Bar Advert Session 2

Saturday 18th April 2015

Session Review

Following from last session yesterday evening I had arranged with all four group members me included to meet at the desired time of three pm in the afternoon since it was convenient for one of y team members who normally finished their work at two pm although only two of the group were prepared to film our individual mars bar advertisements.

The other group member had contacted me explaining he was unable to attend the day of shooting likely due to exhaustion of their work hours. So with the other group members Tom Baxter I had we arranged to meet within the university campus instead of the original meeting point at Worcester’s Foregate street train station entrance. Once I had arrived he  had informed that he asked another one of our classmates Noah to aid us in our post production shoot which was most appreciated because two people were needed to act in both mine and Tom's advertisements and a third group member was needed to operate a camera.

After a thirty-minute brainstorm session of all three of us discussing the proposed concepts and discussing which scenes were possible to film. Once we all were satisfied with our refined concepts we had began filming Tom's film first which took many repeated attempts due to many hilarious mistakes such as me grinning and laughing.

Nonetheless, the final results for Tom's film were impressive and the remaining time was devote d to shooting my film where my concept of two character arguing during their lunch break was further improved with the characters arguing over their boss where one was angry with the bosses decision over firing an employee whereas the other is defending his actions. Both characters end the argument when to her explains that the boss was right in his decision but had fired the wrong employee.

Overall after many outtakes of both Noah and I attempting to maintain a calm and collected posture while delivering our lines the final two results were satisfying since the last lines were further improved with improvisation.
