IKEA Advertisement Session 6

Session Review

Previously on Monday's class session, I discovered I had become confused about the deadline for the IKEA project and assumed the deadline was on the thirteenth of March 2015 when in fact it was on Monday. So I had decided to put aside the wooden block idea because the idea itself was not completely thought out mostly during the end scenes on how I would form the word IKEA out of wooden blocks. Since I originally assumed we would have to make an eight-second hand-rendered advert on what IKEA stands for and then display the company logo; however, fellow colleges simply spelt the word IKEA in a various different hand rendered methods.

Nevertheless, I decided to return to my first concept of using a chalkboard animation of a stick man creating a chair from the box he ordered and then forming the words IKEA. My mobile phone screen was also damaged so filming this was difficult so I had to borrow my mother’s phone and at times ask her to capture some of the frames in the stop motion animation. for scenes of revealing the board and my hand and then rubbing the animation out.

Overall it was very tedious like most hand-drawn or stop motion animations I aver created but the final result was satisfying; nevertheless, I will have to arrive at the campus on Monday early to it the scenes in premier, and get it ready for the showing in class.
