Session Review
Following from yesterday evening I watched an episode of The grim adventures of Billy and Mandy, to get some insight into how a western cartoon usually runs. Surprisingly I am surprised to see how short the episode was. So for our own cartoon, we will simply tale a short simple tale each episode.
The brief has mentioned that our cartoon is aimed for towards an American audience so it was wise to watch cartoon network cartoons since that is the network our show would most likely be displayed.
The characters sometimes break the fourth wall, for instance, Billy said to Mandy "How would you know you do not have a nose". The last scene of the episode displayed Billy going to battle the zombie horde with a stick and when he was completely surrounded An automated voice said to be continued only to be hilariously replied by Billy saying " Oooh I hope I live".
Wanted Features
- Parodying other films, cartoons or media.
- Whacky and Nuts
- Break the Fourth Wall
- Funny Clever Jokes
- Cheesy Lines - "OK zombies are you ready to see what Billy the baker is cooking". - Billy
- Subtle educational moments
Rough Episode Plan
The episode begins with the logo coming forward and then after the opening credits, displays a piece of art of episode story.
Then have the cartoon start with its first frame being an environment shot to set the scene.
